After dinner, DG and Azkadellia headed off early, due to the fact that they had an early morning presentation that DG didn't want to go to.

It left the boys together, comfortably full and picking crumbs off plates. Kalm was lying on his side, Glitch lazily rubbing his slightly swollen belly as the boy settled in to digest. Raw was eying off the fire place, which had been lit and stoked up and had a large rug in front of it that was inviting rolling and lazing.

Kalm belched and Glitch laughed, patting his stomach. "Excuse you."

There's a quiet knock on the door, and Raw doesn't even need to look at his friends to know they're too comfortable to disturb, and besides, he's closer to the door. It's Wyatt and his son, both of whom get happy grins and back slapping hugs. Maybe Jeb gives Raw's bows a skeptical look, but Raw knows he likes them well enough. And they're very pretty bows.

"Glitch had good day," he tells them both as they're let in. "Sleeping and eating, getting clean. Feel better."

Kalm looks up, heavy lids barely opening. Despite the fact Jeb's there, he's too warm and comfy to move one inch. Fine by Jeb, really, seeing as he can very well walk right on over.

Glitch is lying about on the bed as well, dressed in simple, loose pants and an undershirt, fingers still absently rubbing Kalm's stomach while the young Viewer lazes.

"Kalm and I had a sleep during the afternoon... and I think someone might be about ready for another one." He's a growing boy catching up on a lot of lost meals and sleep.

Glitch moves enough to invite Wyatt to sit down and let his lap be used a pillow for brushed out and lightly oiled curls that bounce and waft the scent of satsuma.

Wyatt shrugs out of his coat and sits down, setting his hat down beside them. Then his hand brushes Glitch's forehead, moving down his face. "You look much better."

Jeb crouches by the foot of the bed, just smiling at the entire display. He reaches out to tug gently at one of Kalm's hands, just to let him know he's there. Then he sees and hears the fireplace, and decides it's absolutely perfect and warm and delicious (but not for eating). He sits down over there, and, after looking from Glitch to Kalm to Wyatt and to Jeb, Raw finds himself defeated. Open fire 1 - Raw 0. And besides, the company is good, too.

Kalm is lazy, sleepy kitten batting at anything disturbing his perfect nap time. It makes Glitch giggle softly and nuzzle in against Cain's thigh.

He looks up at the touch. "I feel better. Much better. I went to sleep in the bath. The TETS is still working though. How was work?"

"Work was fine. Busy, but good. Got myself a few slaps on the back for being cheerier. Apparently, everyone's been avoiding me the past two weeks."

Oh, yes. It was a good day, all the ribbing notwithstanding. If nothing else, it sure made the day go by in no time. "I have some very fond memories of that thing. We'll have to test it out again some time."

"Mm, we will," Glitch smirks happily to himself, a perfect happy kitty face that, moments later, Kalm mirrors with the wash of Glitch's happy mood before he sinks back closer to sleep again.

"Tomorrow... when our room isn't full of people after work. We can steal a bath."

Raw gwarfs his laughter.

Wyatt grins, glancing at Raw and Jeb with a wink before turning his attention back on Glitch. "It's a date."

...speaking of which. "Say, you wouldn't fancy meeting me for lunch tomorrow?"

Glitch peeks over at them and then giggles again. "Mm? Lunch? If I remember..."

"Raw remind Glitch." Raw nods.

"Sounds good then. Where?""

"Thanks, Raw. How about I'll meet you at the palace gates? We'll find someplace from there, whatever we feel like."

"Yeah, that sounds nice," Glitch muses. "Are you two getting ready to curl up in front of the fire there and sleep?"

Jeb reacts the loudest. "What? No! I mean-- What? No! I mean, it's too early for sleeping!"

Raw just grins, looking at Jeb. "Raw is. Good fire. Warm fire. Raw sleep better warm."

Wyatt just watches, pretending to be picking out wayward curls from the top of Glitch's head, laying each strand on its side of the zipper.

Jeb starts chuckling, for some, untold reason. Raw grins brighter.

"Jeb's glitching," Glitch drawls with a lazy giggle. He rubs Kalm's belly again, noting that the young Viewer seems to be asleep.

"I think I slept poorly outside. I don't remember."

"I think he is," Wyatt agrees softly, noting how his son and the Viewer starts talking quietly by the fire. Maybe it's better if they're not poked at too much, even if from halfway across the room.

"You sure knew how to toss and turn back when we were trekking across the O.Z with the princess. Not that I could sleep properly either." He shrugs. "I like it better outside some nights. But having you there helps."

Sometimes, waking up in the middle of the night believing you're all alone is terrifying. Having a warm body sleeping next to you, and not just anyone, helps a great deal to chase away the fear.

Glitch glances and decides not to poke them either, since they look comfortable over there.

"I still do. You're hardly a twinkle toes in your sleep either. You should've come and slept with the three of us. We were warmer and more comfortable... except that night we had to spend in the North. You slept then, I'm sure of it. Might've been the hypothermia though."

"I never said I was. You're the twinkle toes in this relationship." He runs his hands through his lover's hair, loving the way the scent of satsuma washes over him every time he does it. It's wonderful.

"Might've been your tender ministrations that kept me under."

"Probably the fact I got in the bed with you and slept there." He is, as always, shameless. "Skin to skin contact is best for hypothermia. I know that much."

He blinks, momentarily dumbfounded, wondering what else he doesn't remember that Glitch has forgotten or simply neglected to tell him.

"Well...you're right about that."

"It made sense." At the time, he had nothing but Cain's interest at heart, curling back to back with him under the blankets. "And you slept solid."

He smiles, shaking his head slowly. "Mystery solved, huh?"

"What mystery," Glitch asks.

"Of how come I slept that night, but barely got any shut eye before or after."

Just nightmares. Always nightmares.

"Oh. Yeah, probably." And he briefly wonders if he damaged Wyatt with that, made him associate Glitch and sleep and comfort.

Or rather, trying to and not doing a very good job of it.

"I like that you sleep better with me there. I sleep.. well, I go back to sleep better with you there." Less glitching and disorientation.

He nods, brushing his hand from Glitch's hairline and back, covering the zipper all the way to where his hair meets his pants leg. "Yeah... Waking up isn't quite so jarring when you're sprawled all over me."
