Glitch is sitting in his office, surrounded by books and diaries, legs over the arm of the chair and head tilted in against the back. He looks asleep, but he isn't, eyes closed and enjoying the fire roaring in front of him.

He left a note for Wyatt in his room, telling him where he was. There's a letter addressed to both of them on the side table, Ambrose's neat script on the front. But he isn't going to open it until Wyatt gets here.

"Technical jargon doesn't make it any more fun to read." He tilts his head back with a smile. "You feel fine, huh?"

"Uh huh. This says that insufficient preparation or lubrication can lead to aching, burning, sharp pain, bleeding or discomfort sitting or walking." He looks at Wyatt. "I don't have that. Any of it."

"Huh. Let's not aim for that ever, all right? No matter how much I'd want to fuck you hard enough that you have trouble walking."

He reads on, sipping more wine, flipping through sections that make him cringe even more and hope it'll never come up ever in conversations.

But then, he finds something else, something rather more intriguing. "...huh. "

"Oh, I couldn't walk last night. But this morning I felt fine."

Glitch reads in quiet for a bit long until Wyatt makes a sound. "Mm?"

"There's a section on prostate stimulation."

He keeps reading.

"...huh. Apparently, a guy doesn't need any more stimulation to...you know. Theoretically."

He says that and suddenly Glitch gasps, eyes wide with brief flashes of memory that don't feel like his own... even if it is in every way that matters.

"No. He doesn't," he murmurs. It could be either of them. He blinks and looks at Wyatt. "Hi! What were we talking about?"

"Anal sex."

He tilts his head back, handing Glitch the book with his thumb where he was reading. "Here. Have a look."

"Oh. That sounds like fun!"

He takes the book, laying it on top of the one he was already reading and scanning over the section. "Oooh, that sounds even more promising."

He sips his wine, rolling it around in his mouth as he turns to better look at Glitch from his seat on the floor. He smiles, starting to like this research a bit more. "That's what I thought."

Glitch's smile turns more wicked. "Wyatt..." And widens. "Do you want to give it a try tonight?"

Wyatt's smile brightens in response, and he reaches his hand up to tug at one of the curls hanging down in front of Glitch's eyes.

"I thought that was obvious enough. I don't know about you, but if that's all it takes to have you skyrocketing, I gotta see it."

Glitch giggles at the tug, ducking into it and kissing Wyatt's brow. "Do you think we've done enough research for tonight?"

"Yeah." His eyes close from the touch of lips on his skin. "We'll take things slow, see what works for us and what doesn't. We can always go back to the books at a later date."

He pushes himself off the floor, picks up the wine bottle. "Your place or mine, handsome?"

Glitch thinks about it, putting the books on his desk, closing them with ribbons in them to mark where they were and picking up his own glass.

"We're usually at mine. Does that bother you?"

"Nope. Should it?" He holds the door open, gesturing for Glitch to come along when he's done.

"No. But it might've anyway." He half skips, stumbling and righting himself and heading out the door. "My room then?"

"Your room."

He starts walking, not feeling like steering Glitch the right way if he happens to go in the wrong direction. Not right now.

He holds out his hand with a smile.

Glitch follows along, a bounce in his step and his fingers lacing with Wyatt's. He's letting Wyatt lead him about, he isn't in the mood for getting lost.

They have more important things to focus on.

Fortunately, Glitch's room isn't far away, and since neither of them are dawdling, they get there in no time. Which means, there's just one thing left for Wyatt to do.

He tops up both their glasses, Glitch's first. "I don't really feel like dinner yet. Maybe later?"

"Maybe later," Glitch agrees, taking another sip before setting it down on the bedside table and shedding his coat, dropping it on a chair.

Wyatt takes his cue, taking off his hat and sliding out of his jacket. He made sure to make a detour before rushing here after work, wanting to get out of the uniform not only for appearances' sake, but for comfort as well.

His vest is next, and oh, so silently, his mind is coming up with very neat little conclusions of how they can improve their sex life with just this added measure of knowledge.

Glitch, despite earlier carry on, bouncing and teasing, is in no big rush. He toes off his shoes and drops his unbuttoned vest to the floor before flopping down on the bed on his stomach, picking up his wine again and sipping.

No rush. He said something along those lines last night, and he's sticking to it. He loses his shoes at the door, then pads on over to sit down on the bed beside his lover.

"...what does it feel like? Or, um, did it feel like, last night?"

"Mm?" He rolls onto his back for the express purpose of laying his head on Wyatt's thigh and looking up at him. "Having sex like that? It felt... familiar, like everything else has, but not at the same time. It was... kind of odd. Very, filled and pulled open but good. Really good."

"Yeah..." He nods, echoing the sentiment, "Familiar but not. Really good."
